Buy moving boxes.
If you choose to not buy, acquire a collection of identically-sized boxes. If you can, purchase a few varietes of such (ideally you'd get more than 1 of each variety...) for varying storage needs. They stack so much easier!

Moving is extremely hard work. Moving out of state, say, from California to Colorado, is even harder. Take, for example, the logistics of renting a moving truck, finding a cat friendly hotel to stay at a mid-way point, and flying your moving buddy back out to California.
Note to self: rent ...

So, Myles and I are going to go camp in Yosemite for a few days later this week. We're staying in a Housekeeping Camp River Unit and will be biking around the valley floor (and drinking beer and other spirits).
