There are healthier alternatives to be had around Clovis. You could join us on a stroll to Subway for example. I've been riding pretty heavily as of late and I must say the cars are freaking me out. Someone actually honked at me for being in the left turn lane. I think we get confused with pedestrians too often and many think we do not belong on the road. My biggest fear is getting hit by a car. Let's just say there's no "Share the Road" signs around here. The trail is officially for bikes, but I'm the *only* regular rider (there's mostly walkers).
