Qwest Sucks

Qwest sucks.

For those unaware, Qwest is the ILEC (Incumbent Local Exchange Carrier) in Colorado. They’re motto is ‘Spirit of Service.’ Only problem: their service stinks.

Case in point: I have a “naked” DSL circuit from them rated (and trained) at 1536/896. Actual throughput: closer to 800/600. Worse yet? Interleaved profile. According to a tech at Qwest, they cannot change to fastpath on a per-port basis. Result? 50ms latency to the first hop.

Oh, and PPPoA. Ugh!

Qwest is soon to be fired, I expect.

    Qwest is worse than Crapcast.
