ChargeTracker Rewrite

January 21st, 2007 | by Sean |

ChargeTracker sucks. It’s an ancient PHP application I hacked together in my spare time some ages ago (and the very project that disenchanted me to PHP). I’ve been talking about rewriting it for about as long as it’s been in existence.

Finally, after years of spinning tales and doing nothing, I rewrote (most of) it in Rails today while lounging on my couch. It’s lacking most of the customary UI considerations (read: it’s ugly), but it’s functional. I need to tie up some of the loose ends and give it a usable interface — then release it to my users.

I’m thinking about creating a Dashboard widget for it, too.

By the way, DreamHost can host Rails applications.
