Venting from SFO
February 3rd, 2006 | by Sean |This is sort of a follow-on to my SEATAC post, except that I’m now at SFO. Luckily, the wifi pass ($9.99 for 24 hours, ouch!) at SEATAC works here at SFO through a roaming agreement. Dunno why they charge so much, it’s not like data costs much.
United, who I hate with a passion (for today, anyway), caused me to miss my connecting flight at SFO, sticking me here for an extra 5 hours. My connecting flight was held at the gate until 12:57 by air traffic control – which is incidentally the exact same time that I came panting up to the gate (having ran from my inbound flight, many many gates away). When I got to the counter, the plane had already left the gate. I have no idea why they didn’t hold it, there were at least 4 people from Seattle joining me to San Luis Obispo (although, these weren’t Microsoft recruits). Grr!
Ok, I’ve vented enough. United sucks.
