Power Bagel

February 1st, 2006 | by Sean |

I usually have some sort of bread-laden meal for breakfast, and this one was especially good:

Atop each half of a sesame seed bagel:

  • Light layer of whipped cream cheese.
  • Fresh-ground black pepper.
  • A decent wad of fresh baby dill weed.
  • A slice of deli-style chicken breast.
  • 3 thin slices of tomato (which will make this bagel a billion times better in the summer…)
  • Grated parmesan cheese.
  • Fresh chopped (or scissored) chives on top as garnish.
  • A splash of lemon juice on top to finish everything off.

It was highly, highly delicious and I think has a fair shake at healthiness too. I paired it with a fresh cup of SLO Roasted’s Guatemalan blend. Just the right thing to get me going this morning before class and before I fly up north.
