Power Bagel
February 1st, 2006 | by Sean |I usually have some sort of bread-laden meal for breakfast, and this one was especially good:
Atop each half of a sesame seed bagel:
- Light layer of whipped cream cheese.
- Fresh-ground black pepper.
- A decent wad of fresh baby dill weed.
- A slice of deli-style chicken breast.
- 3 thin slices of tomato (which will make this bagel a billion times better in the summer…)
- Grated parmesan cheese.
- Fresh chopped (or scissored) chives on top as garnish.
- A splash of lemon juice on top to finish everything off.
It was highly, highly delicious and I think has a fair shake at healthiness too. I paired it with a fresh cup of SLO Roasted’s Guatemalan blend. Just the right thing to get me going this morning before class and before I fly up north.
