Happy New Year
January 1st, 2006 | by Sean |I write this as a log of tonight. I am a little afraid that I will not remember the details of tonight, because of the serious boozing that I undertook.
Ellen and Paul scooped up the ingredients for gumbo, and Ellen’s skill in the kitchen produced it. On top of that, she faciliated a mini-New Year’s shindig at my apartment with Jill, Jimmy(ie?), Matt, Ben, and of course the trio of Ellen (duh), Paul, and myself. Paul and I provided the beer and the food, and it was good times.
The peoples left, except Jill and Ellen. After that we went to Spike’s for a quick beer – I had a La Fin du Monde from Unibrowe. Triple fermented, you know. A little more perky than the Sudwerk beers that Paul brought from Davis.
That reminds me. It was raining this morning pretty hard. I braved the storm to pick up a little something I got for Paul for stopping over at my parents’ house to try and pick up the cat tree. While it was not to be, I still appreciated the effort. I got him a Netgear WGS11 (pardon if I mixed up the model number) – a 802.11g wireless card for his newly acquired laptop.
Anyway, after Spike’s, we came back to our (Paul and my) place to enjoy some wine. I think the consensus is that I enjoyed the wine more than everyone else. Ellen brought a beaujolais and Sarah’s parents’ gave me a port for Christmas. I don’t know exactly how much I had, but lets just say it’s a lot. I’m pretty tipsy right now.
Happy New Years to all of those in blogland! It’s 2006! Let the new year roll in, and from the bottom of my heart, I hope 2006 brings you wonderful tidings. God bless.

If you need someone to bring your cat tree I might be able to.

Can you fit it in your car? I tried popping it in my back seat and it was still too big.

If I put it in the trunk with the seat folded down in a diagonal fashion it should fit.

You’re welcome to try. I’ll buy you dinner and put you up here for it.
