I call bullshit on Senator Grassley and on all the Republicans in the Senate. If you believed in this, Senator Grassley, then Harriet Miers would have had an up-or-down vote in the full Senate. You simply cannot apply these fair-treatment rules to just the candidates you like.

Five idiot points for Senator Grassley and for each Republican in the Senate who failed to assure Harriet Miers of the hearings and confirmation vote she deserved.
