IPv6 Connectivity Restored
October 25th, 2005 | by Sean |Thanks to Hurricane Electric for providing me a working IPv6 tunnel and a /64 allocation. I can finally start playing around in the IPv6 space again.
It just took having the right router (OpenBSD box) and an ISP that didn’t blindly filter all ICMP (morons at Digital Putty).
Among the network upgrades this time around:
- Neatly wired CAT5e throughout the apartment and terminating jacks.
- 3mbit cable internet from Charter.
- OpenBSD/sparc64 Router
- Gigabit Ethernet
- Routed IPv6 connectivity and a /64 of transitional address space.
- A bigger office/room for Sean to work. (ok, not really a network thing)
