Another Update (That’s Two In One Day!)

I am at school now – my classes are over. I’m in the library reserve room getting some materials on the ol’ laptop for study at home. I also during my breaks took care of a few administrative items: dropped by the administration building and literally “dropped off” a request for graduation term change (from Fall to Winter), and checked with the Engineering Advising Center about my minimum progress waiver for this quarter (it was approved). So, check and double check.

So, as a little bit of follow up on the kittens. I’m still getting used to having these little fur balls running around my house. With my crazy neighbor downstairs, I’m frequently worried that their late night antics will cause yet another ridiculous visit. So, lets back up the bus a bit about the crazy neighbors. We (Paul and I) have been asked on several occasions to quiet down by our neighbors from downstairs. We’ve been told that we’re “very loud” and the last time, the neighbor dropped a not-so-subtle hint that she’d call the manager or the police(!) on us. We graciously apologized, but we were left flabbergasted. Paul was in his room doing whatever he was doing, and I was doing physics homework in my room. There was virtually no noise. Anyway, we’re going to accomodate our neighbors in the following ways: we will operate our television at low volume at late hours, and refrain from music at those same late hours. Naturally, these are procedures we’ve followed already with only a few isolated exceptions. We will not, however, stop using our apartment or living. I’ve been told that these neighbors have been in the same apartment for many years which means that if we’re a problem now, then previous tenants must have been a problem before. So, no sympathy for them because they can just move if the noise is too much for them.

End rant.

Kittens are cute… I’ve had to discipline them on many occasions with spritzes of a water bottle when they get out of line (ok, that happens a lot). I’m a little worried about Alex, who seems to have a bit of an eating disorder. She doesn’t seem to like digesting the dry kitten food (which makes her, presumably, not like to eat it). I’ve started her on a wet food regimen for the last few days and suddenly discovered what I had been hoping for – a ravenous kitten. She eats that food like nobody’s business and I think since she’s been feeling better.

Anyway, I’m gonna stop typing since I’ve already written a small book for today. Begin digestion, now.
