Moving Part Deux
September 11th, 2005 | by Sean |I’m back in SLO and I’ve had nearly a full-night’s rest.
Last night, David and I braved the Home Depot (the entropic musical chairs of useful homewares) to find me a shelving solution for the closet. I was thinking just mounting some shelves on the wall with some angle brackets – nothing too fancy. David favored a more prefabricated solution, since it would mean him not having to do any real work. I appreciate that sentiment.
On the way out having not made a firm decision, we discovered a prefabricated set of 5 utility shelves with dimensions almost ideal to the back of my walk-in. At a mark down to $39, they were practically an expensive steal! I had to twist the arm of the self-checkout attendant to give me the right price (the silly machine told me they were $44.97).
We built them in less than a few minutes and put ‘em in the back of the closet. I have now put stuff on each shelf. Woot.
I am almost totally moved in. I even made myself my first breakfast as a full-time resident of this establishment: a 3-egg (Cal Poly eggs, no less) omelette filled with ground turkey (browed with taco seasoning), chipotle salsa, and mexican cheese. The eggs were whipped with a bit of cream, fresh cilantro, and dill. I paired that with a bit of berry yogurt topped with cereal.
I am happily rambling here… so I’ll stop. Time to see about fixing the moblog.
