On Senior Project and Other Topics

April 22nd, 2005 | by Sean |

Senior project is going swimmingly, still. I hope to finish either this weekend (that would take a miracle) or next weekend (at the latest) – so I can extensively test, debug, and then write the paper.

In fact, assuming things continue to go as swimmingly as they have, I will be left with at the end of this quarter: 2 technical electives, 2 general education courses, and a support course to graduate. I will have completed the required major courses for my degree. These, are of course, unofficial. I’m supposed to receive a copy of my graduation evaluation (actually, I think I was supposed to receive it last quarter.) I should probably hound the evaluations office.

I wrote the writeup for my 365 lab due Monday today. Everything went well until I decided to include the relational algebra section too (for completeness). I fought with LaTeX for ages to make the stuff line up properly. Sometimes, I yearn for the chaotic layout of Word. At least I can push things around. I finally got it though and the output looks nice. It’s nice being able to just say \verbatiminput{file}.

Mad anti-props to the Postal Service (the United States Postal Service, that is) for taking for-freaking-ever with my coffee! Dammit guys! The one time I order early, you have to take your sweet time in delivering. Bah.

So.

Good night.
