Flup.

Before I start on today’s task list (which will probably take the rest of my day with breaks only for food), I thought I’d reflect a bit.

First off, I am starting to hurt for a new machine. My PC is slowing my work down significantly. Last night (and early this morning) I was doing some research for my paper. I had journal articles up (PDF’s, naturally) and a few Firefox windows going. I probably had 12 independent PDF’s up, and a Firefox window with no less than 15 tabs going. I was going solid, finding good data and setting up my paper topic. As my work went along, I found my PC slugging it up; taking forever to page through windows, etc.

My PC is no slouch, either. It’s armed with a 1GHz P3 and 768MB of RAM. It’s not the fastest thing in the world, granted.

Anyway, enough of that. I can’t buy a new PC now, ’cause I’m committed to buying a G5. If you’re listening Apple, rev the lines! I want a new model G5.

Today’s list:

  1. Senior project.
  2. Draft research paper.

The second item may not take very long. I’m going to get as much down as I can, then turn whatever I have in. He only wants a draft.

That’s it. I’m working now.
