Movin’ on out…

It-s-a movin’ time!

With much thanks to Mary, we have moved 100% of the big heavy stuff and 50% of the smaller easier stuff to our new place. We painted, hung wall adornments, setup furniture, and moved in kitchenware. We even had a small get together to welcome us home.

The apartment looks great! We painted one wall (the TV wall) a dark blue to add some character to the room. It really adds a layer of depth and a unique style to the room that we find very appealing. It also brings out the green in our amazing teal carpet.

We eliminated useless furniture pieces and resolved to reduce our junk count significantly. The current room configuration that Paul and I will share has a lot of open wall space and a good airy feeling to it. Myles’ room is full of furniture and stuff, but that’s not surprising – after all, it is Myles ;-)

The apartment comes with several amenities above and beyond the traditional Murray Station apartments. We have a window in our shower room (finally!), a nicer fan in the lower bath room, shelves in the walk-in kitchen closet, boob-lights with uber bulbs, nice carpet, better blinds, and a cool mural left by the previous tenant.

The current plan is to slip on down there again next weekend to finish turning the old place. I’m hoping I can reschedule my Java Walk for a little later … I’ve been really looking forward to it. I hate rescheduling it every week. :/

Cheers.
