Background Thinking

March 7th, 2004 | by Sean |

It seems to me that my normal process of background thinking has been decidedly inactive lately. I still remember the days I’d ponder something for hours – or even days – on end and come up with some ridiculous, yet totally correct, solution in, say, the shower at 8am.

Lately, it seems that I’ve been pounding my head away at stuff with little to no tangible results. Sure, I get the solutions, but I don’t really feel like I’ve made that intellectual leap to get me there. I dunno, maybe it’s the stress of working, schooling, maintaining a life, and still getting enough me-time for eating, showering, and most importantly: sleeping.

Best thing in the world: beef stew.

Anyhoo, thought I’d unwind a few useless thoughts unto my devoted yet totally anonymous readership. I will figure out this dynamic programming assignment. It was probably just foolish to start bitching until I’ve actually had a full 24 hours to ponder.
