Guster

August 31st, 2003 | by Sean |

Sorry Marcus, I didn’t go down to SLO this weekend. But remember, when I told you my plans, I did make special note that they were tentative. Apologies anyway :-) I’ll probably be in the Sac area next weekend, so FYI! =)

Anyway, la la la.

I went to the Oakland Art & Soul Festival, which quite aptly, was in Oakland (imagine that!). Watched a lot of great live music, saw a real tribal dance, and absorbed some semi-authentic African culture as I wandered the city center. These are the times when I love BART and its easy access to most of the bay area.

I caught up with a few people that I sorta knew from SLO at the 12th Street/City Center BART Station. Greets to you guys.

As I write this, I am tempted to give a status report, or some sort of hint as to some of the stuff I’m doing now. Suffice it to say, some of that information is classified (ok, not government classified, but I still can’t tell you about it!) I wrote some code for ETP again… I’d also like to write on the differing styles of programming between the ETP guys and the fine people at work. Various value differences, etc. However, I think I’ll pass on this just so I don’t step on anyone’s toes.

I have about 250 math problems to do by wednesday for my first math test, so I couldn’t come down this weekend anywhoo. I will keep out for you next week. Besides I believe that the other Ferengi Rule of Acquisition which is number 34 & 35 which says: “War is good for business.” and “Peace is good for business.”
And besides remember rule 59 “Free advice is seldom cheap.”
