NBA Records
March 28th, 2003 | by Sean |This should really be in the holy fuck! category, but since I don’t have one – and since you don’t see which categories I choose (unless you look real hard
Anyway, I did a little research tonight. After being astounded by Michael Jordan’s career-high single game pointage at 69, and Shaq’s at 61, and the “mediocre” records in the 50′s, etc… I wanted to know who had the distinction of being the single-game most scoring person.
Took me a little bit, and I (wrongly) figured it would be a relatively current player. I thought 69 might have been it, but Jordan had no such distinction on his published NBA record. So, who?
It turns out that on an otherwise uneventful March 2, 1962 Wilt Chamberlain of the (then) Philadelphia Warriors scored 100 points in 48 minutes of play. Check out the box score. I guess it stands to reason that he’s also the holder of the 2nd and 3rd records with 78 and 74 (or somesuch) respectively.
I can’t even fathom a 100 point single-person effort these days. I don’t think it’s even possible…

Uh…so all you do is post your thoughts on Basketball or any ramdom thoughts you have throughout the day? Okay-Whatever floats your boat, tickles your pickle, or fucks your duck…Just know that I found this site through weird circumstances. Have a Wonderful Day and don’t eat too much Ice Cream…stunts your growth. (I’m not really this weird…I just felt like leaving a meaningless message for you…Enjoy

I typically don’t write about what fucks my duck, per se – but I do tend to write a lot about the NBA whether it be a post entirely dedicated thus or bits and pieces thereof. Thanks for the comment
